JUAN Y MELCHOR, BROCKBANK, LONDON. A GEORGE III AND LATER VERGE BRACKET CLOCK, the 19th century inlaid ormolu mounted case with inverted bell top and caryatid canted corners enclosing a 7" gilt engraved brass dial with white enamel centre having Roman numerals and concentric calendar below a subsidiary Strike/Silent dial in Spanish script fronting an eight-day double fusee movement with full engraved backplate and verge escapement striking on a bell.

The case is in good condition but is 19th century and not original to the movement. The dial has hairline cracks at 12 o'clock. The movement is complete and original to dial with original verge escapements, chiming the correct quarters and hours. This is a quarter chiming moivement.
