JOSEPH KNIBB, LONDINI FECIT A LATE 17th CENTURY CENTURY 10" ROSEWOOD OYSTER VENEERED PARQUETRY LONGCASE CLOCK the case having a rising hood with moulded pediment and pierced sound fret above a glazed dial aperture flanked by barley twist columns on slender trunk with long moulded door and glass bull's eye lenticle on box base and bun feet, the 10" square brass dial with winged cherub head spandrels and silvered Roman chapter ring surrounding a matted centre with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture fronting a fully latched five-pillar eight-day weight driven movement with outside countwheel striking the hours on a bell 198cm high
