MATHIEU BEFORT (BEFORT JEUNE) (1813 - 1880) A FINE 19TH CENTURY PIETRA DURA AND ORMOLU MOUTED EBONISED SIDE CABINET OF LARGE SIZE with black slate top above an acanthus leaf-moulded pierced freize and outset mask-head corner mounts enclosing a pair of hinged panelled doors inset with various marbles and coloured polished hardstones depiciting flowering urn panelled centres set with birds and fruits within spandrel corners all enclosed within heavy cast ormolu borders; raised on a shaped plinth base - stamped in several places to the frame Befort Jeune.
