HENRI RENE BUNZLI (1870-1961) A FINE EXHIBITION REGULATOR the glazed mahogany case with moulded pediment enclosing a high quality weight driven month duration movement with damascened brass plates, jewelled deadbeat escapement and Harrison maintaining power mounted on a large matching brass bracket with suspension block supporting a steel rod pendulum with gilt double cylindrical bob, the signed 8" glass dial having Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial - Henri Rene Bunzli was born in Reims, he was an inventor who patented a device for obtaining and screening animated photography, he was also the founder of 'The French Manufacturers of Precision Instruments'. Bunzli made a series of regulators to order and so far there are 16 to know of.
