The 7" arched brass dial with gilt masked spandrels and silvered chapter ring surrounding a matted centre with mock pendulum and calendar apertures, two subsidiary dials above for regulation and tune selection, the engraved arch enclosing a silvered revolving dial engraved with the days of the week and signs of the zodiac fronting a substantial triple fusee movement with rise and fall verge escapement and foliate scroll engraved backplate playing two tunes on nine bells and eighteen hammers and striking the hours on a larger bell.
