A GEORGE I EBONISED MUSICAL BRACKET CLOCK WITH PULL QUARTER REPEAT the ebonised case with inverted bell top fitted original gilt finials and hinged knopped handle above a glazed door with gilt brass inner mouldings repeated to the case sides; standing on bracket feet. The 8" arched gilt brass dial fitted masked spandrels and silvered chapter ring enclosing a matted centre with mock pendulum and calendar aperture, the arch with subsidiary dial featuring a sunken star centre and silvered chapter ring for music selection reading 'A Riggadoon and The Happy Clown,' Strike/Not Strike and Chime/Not Chime to the left and right of the dial fronting a substantial six pillar triple fusee eight-day movement playing two tunes on eight bells and sixteen hammers with pull quarter repeat on six hammers - later anchor escapement and signed foliate engraved backplate
