Surmounted by a ball and flambe finial on a concave-moulded socle over a break arch hood, the hood door with concave moulded frame flanked by canted reeded corners, the long trunk door of good figure over a panelled base on double plinth with shallow block feet, the 13 inch arched brass dial with revolving ball moon and lunar calander aperture beneath, strike silent lever to the dial side with gilded mask head rococo spandrels enclosing a silvered Roman chapter ring with Arabic minute markings, matted centre with date aperture and applied nameplate fronting an 8 day weight driven movement with five finned knopped pillars, hour strike on a single bell and quarter striking on two bells; bolt and shutter maintaining power and crown wheel mechanism to the revolving moon 244cm high
