A LATE 17TH/EARLY 18TH CENTURY CONTINENTAL ORMOLU MOUNTED TORTOISESHELL AND STAINED HORN INLAID DRESSING TABLE CASKET with a raised cushion top and concave inlaid border above a canted brass ground body inlaid with stained ivory, mother-of-pearl and tortoiseshell depicting cherubs and doves amongst blossoming trees; raised on scrolling acanthus leaf feet, velvet-lined interior with pierced brass hinges.
