A RARE EARLY 19TH CENTURY TWO-DAY MARINE CHRONOMETER of small proportions, the three-tier mahogany box with ivory number plaque and brass side handles enclosing a brass gimballed case. The 3.5" signed silvered dial with Roman numerals surrounding a subsidiary seconds dial and power reserve aperture fronting a chain-driven fusee movement with detent escapement, the back of the case with a fitted tipsy key with hinged extensions for easier winding.
