A FINE MID 19TH CENTURY ENGLISH GILT ENGRAVED FUSEE CARRIAGE CLOCK, with a double serpent handle above an engraved case with turned corner columns enclosing a gilt engraved makes silvered dial with subsidiary seconds dial above two subsidiary dials for days of the week and date fronting an eight-day chain driven fusee movement with original jewelled escapement.
17cm high
The case is in good condition, with original gilding. The small release button that opens the front door is missing but the door does open. There is a surface scratch on the dial at 2 o'clock. no damage to the glass panels. The movement looks clean and is ticking with its original lever escapement.
