The 12" square brass dial has a wheatear engraved border, silvered chapter ring and masked spandrels; the matted centre with crown and thistle engraving has subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture fronting an eight-day weight driven movement with finned knopped pillars and repeat mechanism striking on a bell.
