THOMAS WAGSTAFFE, LONDON. A RARE GEORGE III MUSICAL AUTOMATION BRACKET CLOCK the figured mahogany case with brass mouldings and turned Corinthian columns enclosing a shaped arched brass dial with foliate engraved spandrels and Roman chapter ring surrounding a concentric calendar and matted centre, the arch with showing a seascape with sailing ships moving across the aperture attached by a fine fusee chain, the top of the arch inscribed with four tunes and the selector, fronting an eight-day triple fusee movement with foliate engraved backplate and verge escapement striking the hours on a bell and playing the tunes on a nest of twelve bells.
